Calling friends, family or lovers abroad is now low-priced or even free. But how can you make the cheapest international calls? How can one discover the cheapest call rates for international calls? There are a couple of basic ways to making cheap international calls:
- Talk PC to PC – making PC to PC calls is free apart from your regular internet fees. This is the simplest system, you’ll both need a headset with a microphone that you can plug into the PC. You would both need a software to make PC calls. These kinds of software can be downloaded for free on the net. The single catch about this is that service is free for PC to PC calls exclusively. You’d be paying for any call to a regular/landline phone or a mobile phone.
If you want to call a standard phone number or a mobile phone number – it would not be free, but you can make these calls at cheap rates and enjoy the cheapest international calls available. This is all because Voip (voice over internet protocol) or internet telephony has twisted the phone world upside down. Low prices are achievable since wherever your call initiates and ends, it travels most of its way through the web.
Some Voip service providers offer PC to standard phone calls at cheap rates. But before you take any offer compare their costs to regular rates for making the same international calls.
- If you wish to use your standard land line phone to make cheap VOIP calls, you may need to register with a service that offers cheap international calls as long as both parties are registered with their service.
Again, before you sign a contract for any service watch the rates proposed and compare. Ask yourself, are these the cheapest international call rates? Same is right if you want to make cheap international calls using your mobile and ringing a different mobile phone number. Some of the times these calls would be a bit more complicated to make, calling an access number that would link you with the person you’re calling via the web.
To simplify, this is a two step process:
- They give you a special phone number to call from your home phone or mobile phone, which then connects you to their network.
- Once connected you dial the number you’re calling. Simply dial the number you want to call.
Once signing up for a VOIP service provider you may even get an unlimited calls program which would let you to make almost totally free phone calls using your mobile and calling a mobile number worldwide. Another good option is to take a pay-as-you-go plan which does not involve any monthly charges and no strings attached. You only pay for the air time you’d be using up.
Looking for the perfect Voip service provider could be time consuming and there would be quite a few parameters to compare between the offers. To simplify and help you I have already went over and compared international call rates of various suppliers including companies such as Skype, Via Talk, JahJah, Vonage, Packet 8 and others and found the cheapest international calls. To my surprise none of them was the cheapest.
