Cut Junk Food Out of Your Life

We all love junk food once in a while, I’ve been invited out to parties that have either had a great cake that looks great, just like the one my Mom makes, plain white sponge cake decorated nicely with icing sugar mix. Or this cream chocolate dripped over the top and whipped cream in the middle.. yum! OR adult parties that have all kinds of small toast with great stuff on it. But you must know when you are eating and when you’re not. You need to stay focused on your goal, I have a rule that during the week I never touch junk. I always stick to nutritious food, I love salads and fruit and make sure that I eat normal portions of it, per meal. Over the week end which for me is not Friday to Monday, it’s a chosen 24 hours of the week-end, I allow myself to indulge more. But then on the next day I eat more of the good stuff, and in general less food and more water to allow my digestive system to take a rest and get rid of unwanted fats.

When concentrating on loosing weight or detoxing drink WATER, carry water with you everywhere, before you eat drink water, after you eat hold back on the water and allow your food to be digested before you flood your stomach with water. Now some time ago a client of mine whom is diabetic, went to a few lectures at the local hospital by a professor , to learn to control his diabetes better. ( I have no proof that what was said is true, except trying it out on myself.) what he told me was that the professor told him that after he had walked minimum 40 minutes, and was in a nice sweat, not to drink water, you may take 1-2 small sips but to wait at least 30 minutes for your body to have a good sweat, before you start cooling it down with water, It also causes water to exit all the pours ,detoxifying. I personally tried this and now do it all the time. After my morning walk of only 40 minutes, I come home and do stretching exercises, and allow my self to really sweat, while cooling down. I don’t take a shower until I feel that I have stopped sweating it takes about 15-25 minutes. I then shower and sit down and start sipping a small bottle of water. I never gulp down a bottle of water, even a glass of water I take my time with little sips.

I am a Healer and one of the first things you learn in Healing or Meditation, Is to become aware of what your body is feeling and where you are feeling IT in your body. So if you have no Idea what Meditation is about, try reading up on the matter. The mind is a very powerful vehicle, and all your weight loss diet subjects are all connected to your state of mind. So the state of mind that you are aiming for is relaxation, clearing your mind of all thoughts in order to insert New positive desires, we are talking very simple statements like: I am beautiful, I am happy, I am attractive.

There is allot of Power behind statements like ..I AM.. never use this in any negative form. Become aware of the words you utter, we often say things like ..I am ugly…stupid or look ugly. Pay attention to what you are saying about your self, and replace what you are saying with positive input.

This is all connected to becoming aware of what your body is feeling now, is this hunger or is this thirst, the two feelings are very similar. Feeling hungry? drink water. Arrange a regular schedule for eating, eat at certain hours. Do not wait until you are too hungry, your might just find yourself eating anything and everything you can lay your hands on.

Aim to drink 6-8 glasses of water every day or 1 and a half liters. (we will discuss if we Really need so much water another time) Watching your urine is the best way to check your bodies hydration. Dark gold coloured urine is a sure sign that you are low on fluids. Drink plenty of water and aim for a light yellow coloured urine.

You may count the following drink towards your daily intake of fluids.

Fresh fruit juices, dilute with one part juice two parts water. Home made juices, herbal tea, peppermint, chamomile, fennel, fruit tea, green tea, clear soup.

Cut down on your caffeine intake , ordinary tea too. 1-2 cups will not do any harm. Detox of caffeine has side effects like headaches, trembling or shaking, restlessness, increase in heart and breathing rate.
